Antonio Salieri thinks Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s music is miraculous and divine. Salieri wishes that Mozart was as talented as he is so that he could praise God through his music. His success as a composer and his devotion to God are his rewards. He is also happy to be the well-respected, wealthy court composer for Emperor Joseph II. He is shocked that Mozart was such a vulgar being and wonders why God chose Mozart as his instrument. Salieri is now an enemy to God because of his envy for Mozart's greatness. Salieri is prepared to exact revenge on Mozart and God for his musical incompetence. Khaled Salem
