Mike Goldwing is Mike's 12-year-old grandson and grandchild. Frank Goldwing, his grandfather, a revered but forgotten former astronaut, now lives in isolation from his family. He missed out on the chance to fly with Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and other Apollo XI crew members. Mike is a stowaway aboard the spaceship and embarks upon a terrifying adventure when an eccentric billionaire plans to steal all the lunar resources and fly to the Moon. Mike is accompanied by Amy, his best friend Marty and a smart chameleon as he blasts off to take the flag to the Moon and reunite with his family.
