Batman is an American 1960s live-action television series that was based on the DC Comic book character. It stars Adam West as Bruce Wayne/Burt Ward as Dick Grayson/Robin - two crime-fighting heroes who protect Gotham City against a variety archvillains. Executive producer William Dozier described it as the only situation comedy that didn't have a laugh track. From January 12, 1966 to March 14, 1968, 120 episodes were aired on ABC. They aired twice weekly in the first two seasons and once a week for the third. Television critics Matt Zoller Seitz and Alan Sepinwall ranked Batman as America's 82nd greatest television show. Between the first and second seasons, a companion feature film was made.
