The Good Wife, an American political and legal drama television series, aired on CBS between September 22nd 2009 and May 8th 2016. It focuses on Alicia Florrick (the wife of Cook County State's attorney), who returns to law following the scandals involving her husband and public sex. Robert and Michelle King created the series. It stars Julianna Margulies and Josh Charles, Zach Grenier and Matthew Goode. Cush Jumbo and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are also featured. Chris Noth is a regular character. The Kings, Ridley, Tony Scott, Charles McDougall and David W. Zucker were the executive producers. The Good Wife features several story arcs that run over multiple episodes as well as standalone storylines that end at the end of each episode. Its fifth season was a great success because it featured serial plots, which is a rare feature on CBS. This was a network that mainly broadcast procedural programming.
