Riverdale is an American television drama series for teens that is based on Archie Comics characters. Roberto Aguirresaca, chief creative officer of Archie Comics, adapted the series for The CW. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television, CBS Studios, Berlanti Productions, and Archie Comics. The idea was originally intended to be a feature film adaptation by Warner Bros. Pictures. It was then reimagined for Fox as a television series. The CW ordered a pilot for the series in 2015 after development moved to The CW. Filming takes places in Vancouver, British Columbia.

This group of teens attempts to uncover the evils that lurk within Riverdale's seemingly innocent town after a teenager is murdered. Riverdale premiered on January 26, 2017 to positive reviews. The series was renewed in February 2021 for a sixth season, which aired on November 16, 2021. The series was renewed for a seventh-season in March 2022.
